Mas du Roumias - Booking Conditions

1. This contract is for the rental of Mas du Roumias for the specified period only. Visitors are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and are advised to take out their own comprehensive travel/holiday insurance.

2. The hirer accepts that the house owners or their employees shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident or injury to any members of the party or visitors, howsoever caused, nor for any loss or damage to any personal goods or property, howsoever caused.

3. Visitors are responsible and liable for all damage and breakages during their stay, whether accidental or negligent, and are required to replace or pay for any damage/breakages. We kindly ask you to replace anything that gets broken or damaged and to respect the house and all its contents.

4. The booking dates are for the dates shown. The house is available from 16.00 hours on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 hours on the day of departure. You agree to take good care of the property and its contents and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a final clean is included in the rental price, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if you leave the property in an unacceptable condition.

5. A deposit of 30% of the total is payable upon booking. The balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to the holiday, together with a separate (refundable) payment of £250 for damage security deposit. Deposits on cancelled bookings are not returnable. Please note that if payment in full is not received 4 weeks before the holiday, the booking will be deemed to have been cancelled and the house will be re-let.

6. Completion and signing of the booking form signifies acceptance of the booking conditions. Please call or e-mail for availability of the dates required and for address details. Then please fill in the booking form and send it back together with the deposit cheque made out to C.Tippet. On receipt of the total rent and refundable deposit you will receive all the final instructions such as location, caretaker, keys etc.

7. Additional cleaning or sheet changes during your stay can be arranged with us in advance and you will be asked to pay Mme Taillefer (who looks after the property for us) direct for this service. You should immediately let Mme Taillefer know about any breakages or damage which occur during your stay.

8. We shall not be liable to you for any temporary defects or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the property. Any defects should be reported to Mme Taillefer and will be rectified as soon as possible.

9. Whilst we have taken every care to ensure that Mas du Roumias is a safe environment in which to enjoy your holiday, you should recognise that the pool is not enclosed. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that children are closely supervised at all times and that all occupants take care to ensure that there are no accidents. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury you might incur unless it is proved that it is due to our own negligence.

10. Under no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the amount paid for the rental period. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the booking due, for example, to damage to or destruction of the property, our liability shall be restricted to a refund of all sums previously paid by you to us in respect of the rental period.

11. The swimming pool is serviced regularly. Please call Mme Taillefer if you are concerned about any aspects of the pool maintenance. Please exercise great care when using the pool and observe normal swimming pool safety rules, such as no diving, running round the edges or taking glass containers to the pool surround. Please supervise children extremely carefully when using the pool

12. The agreement between us shall be governed by English law and any proceedings arising out of it may only be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in England .
